Early Intensive Behavioral Treatment
and Training
For children diagnosed with Autism to help them optimize their potential. Research supports Early Intensive Behavioral Treatment and Training (EIBTT)!
EIBTT is appropriate for children between the ages of 18 month to 6 years old and have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Children who receive intensive behavioral intervention at an early age are more likely to become indistinguishable from their peers than children who begin intervention at a later age or who do not receive intensive behavioral intervention.
Research supports early intensive behavioral treatment for young children diagnosed with Autism. Depending upon the age of the child and their ability to handle an intensive program, 1:1 programming can occur up to 40 hours per week and typically no less than 25 hours per week. Programming occurs in the home setting or a combination of hours between the home and school environments. Prior to the start of the program, H.O.P.E. Consulting completes an assessment and generates a report outlining the child’s current level of functioning across a range of areas, discusses any behavior excesses, goals are included that address identified deficit and excesses and recommendations for program placement and hours are made. This assessment allows for the program to be individually tailored for each child and family for optimum change to occur. |
